Streams of people
will come through the doors of Unmacht Hall on our campus, smelling a
barbeque meal provided by our congregation, hearing the music of jazz
and country-style Gospel, looking at booths displaying the work of great
agencies doing great work in our community. They will walk through the
convention hall, meeting agency representatives, getting their faces
painted, and enjoying a meal, snow-cones, cotton candy, and balloons,
all for free. Other booths will show the work of our congregational
ministries. It's a great way to get to know us.
You’re invited to come and be part of
this third annual Ministry Fair at The Lakes. You
will be our guests, and we are eager to welcome you.
You will receive a meal pass that will
look like a passport with room for "visa" stamps or initials from all
the booths visited. Lose yourself in the celebration of good things
happening here in Las Vegas.
There are two time periods: 9:15-10:15
AM (which would not include a meal); and 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. During the
10:30 worship, we will be introducing agency representatives to our
congregation.
There
will be brochures and volunteer signup
sheets or cards available, to encourage everyone to be fully,
fruitfully, and enjoyably engaged in a life of service. We want to get
everybody involved in some way in doing the Lord’s ministry outside of
their homes and workplaces.
