(Continued from page 1) ourselves to God and each other. On Sunday, March 9, during worship, we will have the opportunity to reaffirm our calling as baptized Christians. Like a new church, we will be invited to make a covenant with one another, promising: “Do you intend to continue in the covenant God made with you in holy baptism: to live among God's faithful people, to hear the word of God and share in the Lord's supper, to proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed, to serve all people, following the example of Jesus, and to strive for justice and peace in all the earth?” Each responds, “I do, and I ask God to help and guide me.” Each of us will be asked to find some way to serve, not only through our daily lives, but also through the ministries of our congregation. I want you to find someone who is leading a ministry and find a way to help him or her. Please don’t wait to be asked—it would be too easy to miss you and pass you over. I pray that our whole congregation will be filled with people who not only are worshiping regularly, but also be doing some congregational ministry, some biblical learning outside of worship. I pray that you will be in Christ and active in love. Your fellow servant in Christ, Pastor Kurt |

Sunday, June 8 The musical—5:00 PM The supper—potluck after the musical The cast—the youth choir from St. Steven’s Lutheran Church, Bloomington, Minnesota—will present “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at 5 PM that evening. The lodging—your place—we will need homes for 20 boys, 25 girls, and 8 adults. Sounds like a tall order, but we can accomplish this with your help. They’ll be singing at Christ Lutheran on the following Friday (June 13, 7 PM, 111 N. Torrey Pines Dr) and will leave for Minneapolis the next day. Renee Jarvis is a former member of this high school choir and will be the coordinator for this event, but she needs help with this task. Please call the office at 363-2515 or Renee at 256-3653 or email: To host two or more high school students or adults, you would provide a bed, couch, or floor on Sunday night (June 8) and Friday night (June 13) along with breakfast. This would be a great opportunity to share the hospitality of Christ, and you would probably get more out of it than you give. We already have people signed up, but we need many more.
