GOURMET DINNER GROUP
Are you a gourmet cook? Would you like to learn to cook, or just be a gourmet eater? On a small group is forming to share these interests.
If you would like to participate call Paul or Dee Testa at 363-8264. Let them know you are interested in being a part of this new small group.
. FAMILY PROMISE APARTMENT START UP KITS
Kits from The Lakes met on February 7th to make up Apartment Start up kits for Family Promise. We made up five complete kits and 3 add on kits, for a total of 18 bags for Family Promise. We always use and appreciate your donations of new and used items for the kitchen and bath kits. We are running low of the following items: long serving spoons, cake or cooking pans, can openers, shampoo, Kleenex, small bathroom rugs and we are always in need of bath towels.
If you would like to help assemble kits we will be meeting the first Thursday afternoon of the month at 1:30 PM. (March 6th) This will be an on-going ministry with The Lakes Lutheran Church and Thrivent in their Care Abounds in Communities program.
If you have any questions call Jean Wikstrom or Sarah Carter.

MENS BREAKFAST March 8th at 8:00AM YOU ARE INVITED! Men of our congregation meet the second Saturday of each month to share a potluck breakfast, get to know each other. Our guest speaker will be Pastor Jae Suh from the Korean Church.
Stephen Ministers help people face their grief over whatever loss they have sustained. This is done through listening with love and helping the care receiver talk and work through their grief. These words are active not passive. The fact of being a Stephen Minister appealed to me because of the active participation with the care receiver in over coming their grief. Gary Koon
To The Lakes Lutheran; Thank you to everybody who stayed overnight, brought food cooked, and otherwise participated in hosting the families of Family Promise.
Further I would like to thank you for your donations of bathroom, kitchen, add-on kits for our families. This incredible ministry has provided a much needed piece of the puzzle in getting our families resettled in homes of their own. Our families thank you for helping them with such compassion.
