Bob Melvin is home after four months in the hospital and rehab center. People in our congregation are providing meals, under the coordination of Carole Larkins (804-7691). He looks forward to the first time he will be able to join us again in church on Saturday night.

 

Jewel Sullivan is finally planning to have knee surgery right after school is out so that she can have time to recuperate before next fall.

 

Maureen Abraham knows how Jewel feels—her knee surgery is scheduled for August.

 

Bucky Huber is serving in Iraq. He recently bumped into Brett Martin (son of Marilyn Bender), and the two had lunch together (see page 8).

 

Nathan Mahler is in the Marines and just returned from Iraq, and he and his wife Michelle will have their marriage solemnized in a church ceremony here in June. We’ve been keeping him in prayer. Nathan is stationed at 29 Palms and is on leave for 30 days.

 

Virgil Lindsey was in the hospital but is now back home. He looks forward to his immune system being back in order, so that he can join Janet in coming to worship at the 8:00 service.

 

Marion McMasters was also in the hospital but is now back home.

 

Katie Offill-Jackson  had minor surgery at  Sunrise Children’s Hospital but she is doing fine.

 

Joan Hackley , Bob Coleman’s mother-in-law had routine  surgery at Valley Hospital.  She will be going to rehab in the next few days.

 

Baptized this month: 

       Ethan and Julian West, sons of Rachel and John West.

       William E. Combs, son of Tom and Allison Combs

       Grace Marie and Katherine Mary Offill-Jackson, daughters of Judy Jackson and Yvonne Offill.
