C12.01.       The voting membership of the Congregation Council shall consist of the pastor(s) and not more than 10 members of the congregation and the officers of the congregation. Any voting member of the congregation may be elected, subject only to the limitation on the length of continuous service permitted in that office. A member's place on the Congregation Council shall be declared vacant if the member a) ceases to be a voting member of this congregation or b) is absent from four successive regular meetings of the Congregation Council without cause.

B12.01.01               The Congregation Council will include all called pastors, plus twelve voting members of the congregation consisting of: four members of the Executive Committee; President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, six Directors; Learning, Nurture, Service, Support, Witness, and Worship, plus two youth members, one male and one female.

 

B12.01.02               Length of Term.  The President, Vice President Secretary, and both youth members will serve a one year term.  The treasurer plus all Directors will serve two year terms.

 

B12.01.03               Election Cycle.  Directors of Learning, Support and Witness, and one youth member will be elected during the same year.  Directors of Nurture, Service, and Worship, plus Treasurer and the other youth member will be elected in the next year.  President, Vice President, and Secretary will run for election each year. 

 

B12.01.04               Requirements for youth Council members.  Voting members wishing to serve on the Congregation Council must be in at least 9^th grade.

 

B12.01.05               Two members of the same household may not serve concurrently on the congregation council.
