SUNDAY SCHOOL CELEBRATION

 

On Sunday, May 18^th, our Sunday School children will lead our 10:30am Worship Service, helping us all celebrate this special ministry of our congregation.  To prepare for that day and to have some good fellowship together, the Sunday School children are invited to TWO PRACTICES.    The second one will be Thursday, May 15^th.  We will meet from 5:00 -7:00 PM.  For supper,  the May gathering we would ask each child to bring $2.00 for pizza. We will practice from 5-6 PM.   At 6 PM  we will eat and then play some games in the gym until 7. Please mark your calendars for these dates.

 

 

 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

 

We will hold our Vacation Bible School in June. It will open on Sunday evening, June 22 and close on Thursday evening, June 26. The materials are from Augsburg called, “RAINFOREST ADVENTURE”, a Tree Top “Bible Blast”. The cost will be $15.00.   Much adult leadership will be needed.

 

 

CAMP GALILEE

 

Our summer day camps will be Monday through Friday, July 14th through the 25th.  Week One will be a day camp led by staff from El Camino Pines Bible Camp. Week Two will be done by adults and youth of our congregation. The material for that week is called, WORD UP! We will also prepare a musical program for the closing day celebration.  Camp registration forms are in the narthex.

Come, Worship the Lord

Gather with your ELCA sisters and brothers from across the Southern Nevada and Arizona for great preaching (Bishop Steve Talmage), singing, and communion.

Wednesday night, June 4, 7 PM / Friday, June 6, 12 noon

A 150-voice mass choir will help lead the Wednesday service and local praise musicians will help shake the Friday service. Four hundred fifty assembly participants are eager for the rest of us to join them for worship at the Tuscany Suites & Casino, Florentine (C & D) Ballroom.

Tickets will be available at the door or by mail from the synod office and  will benefit 100% Lutheran Social Services of Nevada and Family Promise. These special prices have been made available especially for the Las Vegas valley, for those not already registered to attend the assembly. For assembly members, your admission (including a banquet at 7 PM) is included in your assembly registration.
